Elkader Register, Thur., 3 Feb. 1921. Strawberry Point column.

The death of Fred Pebler, aged 65 years, occurred last Saturday morning after a lingering illness. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife and three children: Edwin Pebler and Mrs. Lottie Weimer of Geneseo, Ill., and Mrs. Savina Fuehr of this place, and one little granddaughter, besides other relatives and friends. Funeral services occurred Monday afternoon at the Lutheran church conducted by Rev. Fritschel.

(Note: An apparent reference to Fred Pebbler who is shown in WPA records as buried in Strawberry Point cemetery.)
