Clayton County Register, Thur., 21 Nov. 1935.

Katherine Russell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Russell, was born a Monona Jan. 27, 1893, and grew to womanhood in the vicinity of Sixteen, where she also attended school. Feb. 27, 1908, she was married to Jerry Hamm, and they were the parents of nine children, Lawrence, Harmon, Guy, Barton, Mrs. Helen Jones, Vera and Bernice. Two children preceded her in death.

Surviving her, besides the widower and children, are her brothers and sister, Harmie, Dave, George, Leonard, and Mrs. Glen Winger, of Montpelier, Iowa, and Claude Russell of West Salem, Wis.

Funeral services were conducted from the Carl G. Schultz funeral home to the schoolhouse at Sixteen, with the Rev. Van Nice of Waukon officiating.

The sympathy of the community is extended the mourners.
