Rites Held For Former Resident

Last rites for Esther Russell (sic) were held in LaCiecenta, California on August 27 at 10:00 o'clock a.m. with burial in the Forest Lawn Cemetery.

Esther Lange Russett (sic), daughter of the late Herman and Katie Lange, was born in Winneshiek county on August 26, 1899 and passed away August 23, 1956 at the age of 57 years, 11 months, and 28 days following a long illness.

She attended the country schools in inneshiek (sic) county. On Palm Sunday, 1912, she was confirmed by the Rev. Stubbe in Ludlow township. She was united in marriage with Edgar Russett (sic) on October 8, 1920. The marriage was not blessed with children.

She is survived by her husband; two sisters, Mrs. Herman (Emma) Snitker of Postville and Mrs. Lawrence (Lucille) Schultz of Luana; two brothers, Arthur of Elgin, Illinois and Eldo of Postville; plus many friends. Her two sisters were with her in her illness.
