Guttenberg: Jacob Biedermann, life-long resident of Clayton county, died suddenly of heart trouble at his home here on Monday evening at 6 o'clock. He was 70 years, two months and 15 days old. He had been failing in health for some time previous to his death.
Mr. Biedermann was born on a farm in Garnavillo township, Clayton county, Iowa, April 23, 1865, where he grew to manhood. On October 2, 1888, he was married at Guttenberg to Miss Ida Essman. After their marriage the couple settled on a farm in Garnavillo township, where they resided for 24 years. Twenty-two years ago they came to this place to make their home, where the deceased spent the remainder of his life.
His death is mourned by his wife, two brothers, John Biedermann, of Clayton township and George Biedermann of here, and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be conducted by the Rev. W. J. F. Adix at the Biedermann home here this (Thursday) afternoon at two o'clock, with burial in the city cemetery.
