Mrs. Elizabeth Bird died Friday morning, March 1st, 1935, at 4:30 o'clock at the home of her son Edward in Milwaukee, where she had been visiting the past several months. Her death resulted from a heart attack.

The death of this beloved mother has caused genuine sorrow in this community where she was known and respected by all. Being of a retiring disposition her beautiful traits of character could be appreciated most by those intimately associated with her. She was gifted with a most pleasing personality and a christian fortitude that knew no bounds in sacrificing for those she loved and were dear to her.

She has bequeathed a wonderful heritage to her children; the record of a beautiful christian and well-spent life. Let her family reared to the love and obedience of God stand as a monument to her own love and duty to her Maker.

To the bereaved family we extend the hand of sincerest sympathy.

Surviving are 3 daughters, Catherine C., McGregor; Anne Margaret, Dubuque and Sister Agenetta (Elizabeth), Springfield, Ill., and two sons, J.F., Rockford, Ill., and Edward J., Milwaukee, Wis., and one grandchild, Thomas B. Bird of Milwaukee. Also two sisters, Mrs. C.A. Decker of Milwaukee and Mrs. Mary McMann of LaCrosse.

The funeral of Mrs. Bird was held from St. Mary's church on Monday morning, Rev. Father Horsfield officiating at a Mass of Requiem. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery.
