John Sabbann, aged 72 years, died Sunday morning after an illness of several months' duration. Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon from St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran church, the Rev. A. Daugs officiating.

Surviving him are the widow, Mrs. John Sabbann; his faithful daughter, Miss Melinda Sabbann; and two sons, Gustav Sabbann of Elkader and Ewald A. Sabbann of Monona; and six grandchildren.

The Register sympathizes with them in their sorrow.

The death of John Sabbann occurred Feb. 23rd, he having been in failing health for several months. He was born in Germany Dec. 9, 1862, and with his parents migrated to this country in 1871, and settled in Farmersburg township. May 16, 1884, he was married to Miss Anna Buck. They were the parents of two sons and one daughter. In 1921 Mr. and Mrs. Sabbann and daughter moved to Monona, which has since been their home.

Mr. Sabbann served as manager of the Farmersburg shipping association and later as secretary of the Monona creamery for ten years, faithful and accommodating in his work. He was a good neighbor and a wonderful father and a kind husband.

In May, 1934, Mr. and Mrs. Sabbann celebrated their Golden Wedding anniversary.

Surviving Mr. Sabbann are his two sons, Gustav Sabbann of Elkader, Ewald A. Sabbann, and his faithful daughter, Miss Melinda Sabbann, both of Monona, and six grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon from the St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran church, The Rev. A. Daugs officiating, and burial was made in the Monona cemetery.

Sympathy is extended the Sabbann's in their loss.
