Clayton County Register, Thur., 28 Feb. 1935.

McGregor: Funeral services for Frank L. Kinsley, 79, who died in McGregor Thursday, were held at the Congregational church Saturday afternoon. Burial was made in the Council Hill cemetery on Pleasant Ridge.

Mr. Kinsley was born on a farm on Pleasant Ridge, Nov. 2, 1855, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Guy Kinsley, a pioneer family of that settlement. He was the second oldest child in a family of ten children. He was educated in the rural and town schools, after which he took up dairy farming, and was for many years prominent in that time of farming. He served for a number of years as a member of the Iowa Board of Animal Health. Owing to ill health he retired from the farm several years ago and lived part of the time in town. He was always active in civic work and church activities.

In 1891 he was married to Miss Eugene Marsh, who survives him. He is also survived by his daughter, Mrs. Henry Coobs of McGregor, five sisters and three brothers.
