Volga: Mrs. George (Leona) Schaefers, 63, of Volga died Wednesday morning at her home.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church here, with burial in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the Witt Funeral Home in Elkader, Ia., where the Scripture Wake Service will be held at 8 p.m. Thursday.

Surviving besides her husband are three sons, Francis of Clayton, Ia., Gregory of Center Point, Ia., and Lavern of Wadena, Ia.; two daughters, Mrs. Harold (Lois) Mueller of Garnavillo, Ia., and Mary Schaefers at home; 15 grandchildren; her mother, Mrs. Mary Matt and two brothers, Lawrence and Delbert Matt, all of Garber, Ia.
