From the Thurs., 21 Mar. 1935 issue of "The Monona Leader," Luana Leader section, page 8, column 1:

Mrs. C. H. Overbeck Dies

Mrs. C. H. Overbeck passed away Thursday evening about seven o’clock in the home of her daughter Mrs. Will Wilke aged about 77 years. The funeral services occurred Monday afternoon from the C. H. Overbeck home at one o’clock, and from the Lutheran church, 1:30 o’clock, by her pastor, Rev. Kumpf. Burial in the Luana cemetery by the side of her first husband Auguat Neverman, who passed away many years ago. She leave to mourn her passing her aged husband, C. H. Overbeck, an adopted daughter, Mrs. Bertha Wilke and four children, her sister Mrs. Fred Lembke and family of Monona, and a step-sister, Mrs. Carl Miller and children of Elkader.
