Funeral services for John C. Walker, 86, were held at the Methodist church in Strawberry Point Wednesday afternoon, July 13, in charge of the Rev. Wayne Carlson. Mr. Walker died at University hospital in Iowa City Monday after a long illness.

Mr. Walker was born at Casey Creek, Ky., Nov. 15, 1862, and spent the greater part of his life in Kentucky. In 1896 he was married to Sarah Posey, who preceded him in death. Mr. Walker was a farmer until his retirement.

He is survived by three sons, Albert of Watseka, Ill., Welby of Strawberry Point, and John A. (Arbie) of Edgewood, a daughter, Mrs. Fay (Sadie) Donaldson of Stanley; two brothers and a sister, all living at Casey Creek, Ky.; 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
