GRIMME, DOWNEY, WALCH, DITTMER

Clayton County Register, 14 Apr. 1949.

Funeral services for Catherine Grimme, infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Grimme of Houston, Texas, were held at St. Joseph church, Elkader, Monday afternoon at 5 o'clock. Burial was in St. Joseph cemetery.

Catherine died at birth in a hospital in Houston Saturday, April 9. The body was flown to Cedar Rapids where it was met by Mrs. John Farrell and David Walch and brought here for services and burial.

Mrs. Grimme is the former Catherine Downey of Monona and sister of Mrs. David Walch of Elkader.
