Funeral services were held for Lowell Louis Fritz, 71, Sunday, Oct. 10, 1993, at Leonard-Witt Funeral Home, Elkader. Rev. Peter D. Peterson officiated the service with burial in Cass Township Cemetery, Strawberry Point. Pallbearers were Marlin Hakert, Chris Lincoln, Erik Sauerbry, Lee Hakert, Gary Lincoln and Richard Lincoln.

Lowell Louis Fritz, son of Henry and Emma (Willman) Fritz, was born May 21, 1922, near Littleport, Iowa. He grew up and was educated in the Littleport area, graduating from Littleport High School in 1941. On November 4, 1961, he was united in marriage to Marlene Lincoln at the Little Brown Church at Nashua. Two children were born to this union. In his earlier years he farmed with his parents. Since their marriage, the couple have lived in Garber. He worked for Trademark Homes in Guttenberg for nearly 30 years. Lowell Fritz died suddenly at his home Friday, Oct. 8, 1993.

Survivors include his wife Marlene; his son Randy of Garber; his daughter Lona Fritz of Cedar Rapids; his mother Emma of Edgewood; and two sisters, Esther Hakert of Elkader and Viola Martin of Cedar Falls.

He was preceded in death by his father and two brothers, Burdette and Delores.
