Elkader Register, Thur., 13 Nov. 1924. Garber column.

At the home of his sister Mrs. Chris Lou, in Volga township on Monday Nov. 10, 11 a.m., occurred the death of Chris Oelker, at the age of 60 years, 5 months and 4 days. Cause of death was cancer. The deceased was born and raised on his farm in Volga township and was always an honorable and upright man and held in high esteem by all who knew him. Funeral services will be held from his home on Thursday. Interment at Garnavillo.
