Elkader Register, Thur., 6 Nov. 1924. Garber column.

At his home in Volga township on Sunday morning occurred the sudden death of Chas Putzier at the age of 49 years. Cause of his death being blood poisoning. He leaves surviving his wife and five small children, besides three brothers and four sisters. The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon from his late home and interment made at Garnavillo. The sympathy of the community is extended to the bereaved family.
