Strawberry Point, Ia. - Cyrus Hines, 81, died Tuesday, a day after funeral services were held for his wife, Amanda, who died Saturday. Services for Mr. Hines will be held Thursday afternoon at the Gill funeral home.

He was born near Strawberry Point, on April 27, 1864, a son of Thomas and Luisa Hines, and was married to Amanda Jane Carnicle on Oct. 24, 1882.

Surviving are one adopted daughter, Mrs. Cy Carnicle, Strawberry Point a brother, Roy Hines, Strawberry Point; three sisters, Mrs. Dora Gordon and Mrs. Addie Sauerbry, both of Strawberry Point, and Mrs. Gus Dillon, Volga City, Ia.
