KOEHLER, ODTDORFER, LAMPHIER

Chas. Koehler was born in Germany in 1853 and died in Sperry township. Clayton county, Iowa, on Saturday at 12:20 a.m., Dec. 15th, 1906, aged 52 years, 11 months and 23 days. Chas. Koehler came to America with his parents when one year old and settled in Pennsylvania. He came west in 1877 and was married the same year to Savanna Odtdorfer, who survives him with two children, Sigmund Koehler and Mary, now Mrs. Clift Lamphier. Mr. Koehler was a good citizen and neighbor and was well liked by all who knew him and will be missed by all. His last sickness was only one weeks duration. He was speechless, but retained consciousness to the last moment. The funeral was held Monday, burial at St. Sebald cemetery.
