_______Former Resident Dies in Waterloo on Sunday
_______Funeral services will be held this Thursday at 1:00 p. m. at St. John American Lutheran church for Mrs. John White, 88, who died at Allen Memorial convalescent home in Waterloo on Sunday. The services will be conducted by Rev. E. W. Kraemer, pastor of St. John church.
A resident of Guttenberg for many years, Mrs. White had lived in Waterloo for the past two years.
Margaretha Wilhelmine Walke was born in Clayton County July 11, 1870, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Walke. In the year 1890, she was married to H. B. Schuette who preceded her in death. In 1937 she was married to John White, who also preceded her in death.
Mrs. White is survived by three sons, Oliver Schuette of Waterlott, Ben H. Schuette of Waterloo and Elmer J. Schuette of Dubuque, and by one daughter, Mrs. Ben Stapela of Waterloo. Also surviving is a stepson, Emmett White of Guttenberg; a sister, Mrs. Fred Hawkins of Englewood, California, and three grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
