Mr. and Mrs. Fred Fehlhafer, of Guttenberg, have been deeply saddened over the death of their only child. The little one came to bless and gladden the home Aug. 18, 1906. On the 16th of the following month it was christened at the home of its grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Peterson, of this place, and received the names Marie Sophia Anna. Its frail little body soon succumbed to ailments and the fears of the anxious parents have since been mournfully realized. Rev. K. Wm. Braun officiated at the funeral services, which took place Friday afternoon in St. Paul's Lutheran church and at the burial in the Garnavillo cemetery.
