Elkader Register, Thur., 25 Oct. 1906. Monona column.

Michael Geraghty was born in Ohio, March 15th, 1855, and died at his home in Pleasant Ridge, Sunday, Oct. 14th, 1906, aged 51 years, 6 months and 29 days. Deceased was a sufferer from an affliction of a cancerous nature for the past six months and in spite of all that medical science could do he was called forth, leaving to mourn his loss a wife and three children, besides three brothers, John and James, of Pleasant Ridge, and Patrick, of Monona. Mr. Geraghty was a man highly respected by all who knew him, honorable and upright in all his actions in life and his taking away will cause much sorrow in the community where he lived. Funeral services were held on Monday, Oct. 15th, at 10 o'clock, at the St. Patrick's church, Monona, Rev. Father Hogan officiating. Burial in the Catholic cemetery.
