Mrs. Mary Carroll was born in Franklin Co., N.Y., July 25, 1858, died at her home in Chicago, Sunday, Oct. 6, 1906, after an illness of two weeks, of typhoid fever. She was married to John Carroll, in Monona, in January, 1874, residing in Omaha until about ten years ago when they moved to Chicago, which has since been their home. She leaves to mourn her untimely death, a husband, three sons and four daughters, an aged mother, Mrs. Margaret Ryan, of this place, three brothers, Edward, Patrick and Michael, and four sisters, Mrs. McGovern, Emma, Margaret and Kathryn Ryan. Funeral was held in Chicago, Wednesday, Oct. 10th, under the auspices Visitation Court, No. 55, W.C.O.F. Burial in Mount Olive cemetery.
