Died - at his home in Monona, Friday, September 18th, 1891, Nelson Englert, aged 85 years, 4 months and 8 days. The deceased was born in New York, May 10, 1805. He settled in Luzern county, Pennsylvania, where he was married to Susan France* in the year 1831. He was a member of the Presbyterian church.
He leaves a widow and seven children, Geo. and Ed Englert, of Wisconsin, Thomas Englert, of Nebraska, Mrs. Dan Siglin, of Monona, Mrs. George McAndrew, of Aurelia, Jacob Englert, of Monona, and Mrs. John Little of Farmerburg, are left to mourn a kind husband and father.
The funeral took place at the family residence, Sunday at 10 o'clock, Rev. Polley officiating, when the remains were placed in the Monona cemetery to rest in peace forever.
