MRS. SOPHIE M. TUECKE PASSES AWAY SUNDAY

Death of Aged Woman Follows Brother’s by Week

Mrs. Sophie Marguerite Tuecke died in her home here Sunday, just a week after the death of her brother, Fred R. Schroeder. She was 83 years old.

Mrs. Tuecke was born on a farm west of Guttenberg on June 15, 1856, shortly after her parents, Fred and Henrietta Strubbe Schroeder, had moved here from Cincinnati, Ohio.

She was married March 16, 1877, to Henry Tuecke, who died in 1905. To them were born one son, Herman Tuecke of Flaxville, Mont.; and three daughters, Mrs. Bernhard Bleitz [Blietz] of Marcus, Miss Anna Tuecke of Guttenberg and Mrs. Fred Kregel of Guttenberg. All the children, together with six grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, a brother, Herman F. Schroeder of Guttenberg, and a sister, Mrs. Ida Rodenberg of Garnavillo, survive.

Funeral services will be held at 2 o’clock this afternoon in St. John’s Lutheran church here. The Rev. W. J. F. Adix will officiate at the funeral services, and at the rites in the cemetery at Ceres, where she will be buried.
