Mrs. Martha Mecklenberg, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Mecklenberg, died last evening about 11:00 o'clock, after a lingering illness, in the twenty-third year of her age. The funeral will be held Friday morning at 10:00 o'clock at the German church. The interment is to be at Volga City.

Martha Louise Anna Mecklenberg was born Oct. 3rd, 1884, in Read twp. In October, 1903, she was married to Wm. Mertens for only eleven months. She was sick over two years and died on the 14th inst. The funeral services were held Friday in the German church, Rev. Leonhard officiating. The interment was at Volga City.
