Alexander Buncle died Friday, July 27, 1906. He was born Sept. 3, 1822, in Edenburgh, Scotland. He came to America at the age of eight years with his parents, who located in New York City. At the age of fourteen years he went to sea and sailed for fifteen years. In 1851 he came to Clayton county, locating in Wagner twp. He was married twice, his first wife being Lucinda Wooldridge, by whom he had three children, two of whom, Walter Buncle, of Athen, Minn., and Mrs. Jos. Bonard, of George, Iowa, survive. His second wife, Mrs. Lois Tyler, died some eight years ago. The funeral was held Sunday, Rev. A. S. Hock, officiating, the interment being in the Patterson burial grounds where he was laid away beside his first wife.
