Dietrich Essman passed away at his home two and one-half miles northwest of Guttenberg at 9:00 o'clock, Wednesday evening, aged 72 years, death being caused by kidney trouble. Mr. Essman was considered one of Jefferson township's most prominent and progressive farmers and was held in the highest esteem and his memory will be revered by those with whom he came in contact during life. Surviving are his wife, one son and one daughter, namely, Arthur Essman and Mrs. Ida Pederman.
