Mrs. William Busacker, 55, a former resident of this community, passed away Saturday afternoon in her home at Monona following a lingering illness.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon at the home at 1:45 o'clock, followed by the service in the Evangelical church in Monona, conducted by the Rev. Frederick R. Ludwig of this city, assisted by the Rev. H. Raduege of Monona. Interment was in the city cemetery in Monona.
Mrs. Busacker was born as Senda Debes, the daughter of August and Emma Klein Debes in Giard township, Clayton county, March 21, 1890.
She was married to William J. Busacker of Postville on February 23, 1927, at Farmersburg, which place was her home for many years. Following their marriage, Mr. and Mrs. Busacker established their home on his farm south of Postville where they resided until they retired from farming March 1, 1944, and moved to Monona.
Mrs. Busacker is survived by her husband, three brothers, William, Harry and Harvey Debes of Monona, two sisters, Esther, Mrs. William Marfilius and Miss Elizabeth Debes of Monona, and many other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Mrs. Henrietta Zurcher Kischman, the latter passing away March 21, 1921.
