Elkader Register, Thur., 17 May 1906. Monona and Garnavillo columns.

Monona column: Mrs. John Korte, of McGregor, died this morning. Her age was about 70 years. She was well known in Monona and highly respected.

Garnavillo column: Henry Schulte and family were in attendance at the funeral of Mrs. Korte, which took place at McGregor, Sunday. Deceased is the mother of Mrs. Schulte and was well known here. Her sudden departure is greatly regretted.
