On Friday morning April 6th, occurred the death of Friederike Lenth, mother of A. W. Lenth, of this place, with whom she had made her home. Deceased was born in Germany, Gnevsdorf, Mecklenburg, Schwerrin, May 23, 1837, and came to this country in 1870, and in 1871 was married to John F. Lenth, in Farmersburg township, with whom she lived till March 8th, 1900, when he was called to rest in the great unknown. She is survived by her two sons, August and Herman, and three step-sons, John, Joachim, and Frank, one sister and two brothers. Funeral services was held Monday at 10 a.m., at the German Lutheran church, conducted by Rev. Wappler, her remains were laid to rest in the Clayton Center cemetery, funeral services were conducted by Rev. Lumenburger, at that place. Many of her old neighbors and friends attesting their sympathy, love and sorrow by their presence. Happy may she be in the gret beyond.
