Death has again invaded the home of Jos. Vogt, this time claiming the eldest of the five children, a daughter, Amanda, Saturday, April 7, aged 17 years, 8 months and 27 days. Deceased was born in Guttenberg and has made her home here with the family since. The cause of death was tuberculosis from which she had been a sufferer for some time. The surviving members of the family to mourn her demise are the father, three brothers, namely, Will, John and Ferdinand, and one sister, Rosa. Funeral Services were held at St. Mary's Chatholic church Monday morning, conducted by Rev. Father Brinkman. The body was interred in the new Catholic cemetery.
