Louie Tiede, who has lived along in the south part of town for many years, was taken to the County Home last week, where arrangement was made with the Board of Supervisors for his monthy board. While he is not a subject of charity, he was alone with no relative to look after him, hence the change.

Louie Tiede, who was taken to the County home a short time ago, died at that place Sunday afternoon and the remains were brought back to Monona, Monday. The funeral was held at the German Lutheran Church, Tuesday afternoon, November 30th, burial in Lutheran Cemetery.
Mr. Tiede came to this community from Germany many years ago, and for a number of years worked on farms in the vicinity and some twenty years ago he purchased a home in Monona, where he has since lived.
He had never married and was without any relatives in this country, although his kindly disposition and honest methods of dealing with his fellowmen had won him a large circle of personal friends who looked after him in the best possible manner, during his sickness, death and burial.
He was 77 years old and is believed to have two sisters in Germany. - Monona Leader
