Monona - Funeral services for Mrs. Joseph Pixler, 65, were held at the Methodist church with the Rev. G.W. Turner officiating. Mrs. G.W. Turner sang, accompanied by Mrs. K.W. Rash at the organ.
Mrs. Pixler was born in Hiawatha, Kan., and was married in 1912 to Joseph Pixler. For many years they farmed near Monona but for the last three years had lived at Oelwein.
Surviving are her husband, one brother, F.W. Brewer, two nieces, Mrs. E. Sorenson of Chicago, and Mrs. F.M. O'Leary of St. Paul, whom they reared, and four nephews, Earl Brewer of Des Moines, Milton and Allen Brewer of Oelwein and Harold Brewer of Waverly.
