Mrs. Anna Mueller
Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Mueller, 77, were held Monday, Nov. 15 at 1:15 p.m., from the Carlton Voelzke home to St. Paul’s Lutheran church at 1:30. The Rev. R. C. Schlueter officiated. Burial was in the City cemetery.
Anna Marie (Doerring) Mueller, daughter of John Doerring and Elizabeth nee Reuch was born in Mecklenburg-Schwerin, Germany, August 30, 1877, and died after an illness of eight weeks at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Carlton Voelzke at Monona, Friday, Nov. 12.
At the age of six years she came to America with her parents and lived near Clayton Center. On Oct. 4, 1898, she was united in marriage to Ferdinand Mueller at Monona by the Rev. Pfefferhorn. A son John, and a daughter Erna [sic] was born to this union. They lived in Monona township until 1920, then in Farmersburg until Mr. Mueller’s death in 1934. Since that time Mr. Mueller had made her home with her daughter and husband.
Survivors include one son, John of Luana, one daughter, Mrs. Carlton (Edna) Voelzke of Monona, five grandchildren, one brother, August Doerring of Kenosha, Wis.
Music at the services was provided by Mrs. George Heins Jr., organist, Mrs. Leonard Olson, Mrs. R. C. Schlueter, Keith Lunde and the Rev. R. C. Schlueter.
