Horace Corlett departed Monday afternoon for Monona, Clayton county. The day previous he had received a telegram that told of the death of his brother-in-law, D.D. Bowles, at his home in St. Louis. The body was taken to Monona for interment and Mr. Corlett went to be in attendance at the funeral.

The remains of David Bowles, of St. Louis, Mo., were brought here for interment last week Tuesday.
His two daughters, Mrs. Jennie Thomas and Laura
Bowles, of Peoria, Ill., accompanied the remains. Horace Corlett, of Ames, Iowa, came also. Rev. C. E. Baker of the M.E. church had charge of the burial service.
