Funeral services for Martin G. Roeben, 50, were held Saturday, June 14, at Belt, Mont.
Mr. Roeben had been ill since January with marrow bone cancer. He died Wednesday morning, June 11, at the age of 50 years, 8 months, and 5 days.
He was born October 6, 1896, in Clayton county, the son of John and Johanna Roeben. He was a former resident of Elkader and Clayton Center.
Surviving besides his wife are: one step-son and one son; one brother, Fred Roeben, Ravenden, Ark.; eight sisters, Mrs. Martha Gilbertsen; Mrs. Frieda Mohr, Mrs. Herminia Martig, Madison, Wis.; Mrs. Johanna Taake, Mrs. (looks like Ottillie) Hortstman, Guttenberg; Mrs. Lillie Roeben, Woodward; Mrs. Alice M. Lendt, Sleepy Eye, Minn., and Mrs. Bernice Keller, Ellis, Kan., and two step-grandsons.
