Guttenberg- Fred Wade, 73, died Monday at his home.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Church in Guttenberg. Friends may call at the Tuecke Funeral Home where the Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Wednesday.
Surviving are his wife, Lila; one son, Fred Jr., Clinton, Ia.; and three daughters, Mrs. Delos Weseman, Mrs. Curtis Herman, both of Guttenberg, and Mrs. David Jones, Hopkinton, Ia.

FRED WADE PASSES HERE
Funeral services were held Wednesday morning from St. Mary's church for Fred Wade, 73, former member of the staff of Lock and Dam Ten, who died suddenly Monday morning.
The rites were in charge of Rev. Alfred J. Schmitz, pastor o St. Mary's church, and burial was in Mt. Olivet cemetery in charge of the Tuecke funeral home. Pallbearers were Bob Wolf, Ralph Wolf, Joe Schroeder and Howard Vorwald. Military rites at the cemetery were conducted by the local American Legion.
The parish Rosary was recited Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
Mr. Wade was born September 28, 1891, in Montrose, the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Wade. On December 15, 1930, he married Lila Conklin at Galena, Illinois. They moved to Guttenberg about 18 years ago when Mr. Wade joined the staff of the local lock and dam.
A veteran of World War I, Mr. Wade is survived by Mrs. Wade and one son and three daughters, Mrs. Delos Weseman of Guttenberg, Fred Wade Jr., of Clinton, Mrs. Curtis Herman of Guttenberg, and Mrs. David Jones of Hopkinton. Also surviving are nine grandchildren.
