Dolores Mae Sabbann, age 86, of Mason City, Iowa, died Saturday, June 18, 2016, at the Good Shepherd Health Center in Mason City. Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 23, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the St. James Lutheran Church with the Pastors Jeni Bohls and Bryan Odeen officiating. Visitation will be held from 5 until 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Major Erickson Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service time on Thursday at the church.

Dolores was born November 24, 1929 to Clement and Hattie (Zeil) Wilson in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin. On May 31, 1947 Dolores was united in marriage to Donald E. Sabbann in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. To this union two children were born.

Dolores was very involved with her husband Don and his work. Prior to moving to Corwith, Iowa they farmed together on the edge of Monona, Iowa. Over the years she was on the board of directors at the Corwith State Bank in Corwith and the Farmers State Bank in Mason City, Iowa. She was a member of the St. James Lutheran Church. Dolores truly enjoyed gaming whether it was playing Bingo or making a trip to the casino. She enjoyed hosting and attending friends and family get-togethers. Don and Dolores spent many winters in Florida and a lot of their free time during the summer in their cabin on the Mississippi River near McGregor, Iowa. Their time spent with family was the most valued holding for them many treasured memories of happy and fun times.

Those thankful for having shared in the life of Dolores include her son, Brad (Julie) Sabbann of Manly, Iowa; son-in-law Rich Halverson of Mason City, Iowa; four grandchildren: Chrissy (Brent) Whipple, Sasha Sabbann, Kelli (Brad) Anderson, Nate (Amy) Halverson; eleven great-grandchildren: Jaidyn, Taylor, Kaya, Lauryn, Hayley, Kane, Marley, Adrian, Kaylin, Benny, and Hunter in addition to numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Sabbann was preceded in death by her parents, husband Donald, daughter Andrea "Andi" Halverson, two sisters, Shirley Johnson, Anita Schaub and one brother Harold Stiener. Burial was in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Mason City, Iowa.
