Benjamin Wells, an old settler at Springfield in this county died at Postville on Tuesday, aged 68 years. Springfield years ago was quite a little village, one mile east of Postville on the Monona road, and here in the early days Mr. Wells kept a public house and worked at shoemaking. Mr. W. was highly respected at Postville, and his death will be sincerely mourned by all.
