Elkader Register, Fri., 16 Mar. 1883.

We learn with regret of the news of the death of Arthur Malery, a highly respected citizen of Highland township, which event occurred on the 13th inst., after but a short sickness.

Deceased was a native of Kentucky, but came to this county about six years ago, since which time he has lived with his brother, Patrick Malery, at whose residence he died, after having completed 68 years of life in the vale of tears. He leaves one son to mourn the loss of a kind and loving father, the wife and mother having died soon after coming to Iowa. The funeral occurred on Thursday and was quite largely attended.
