Clayton County Register, Wed., 22 July 1992.

Funeral services will be held for Ruth Leah Miller, 79, at 11:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 22, 1992, at Leonard-Witt Funeral Home, Elkader. Rev. Bob Williams will officiate the service with burial in East Side Cemetery, Elkader. Pallbearers are Maury Glesne, Henry "Red" Possehl, Bob Griffith and Mark Possehl.

Ruth Leah (Kill) Miller was born July 10, 1913, in Boardman Township of Clayton County, Iowa, the daughter of John and Louise (Lembke) Kill. She grew up and was educated in the area attending Elkader school. She was baptized and confirmed at Peace United Church of Christ, Elkader. She was united in marriage August 12, 1941, to Harold E. Miller at Lancaster, Mo. She was a member of Peace United Church of Christ. She had worked for the Clayton County Register for over 20 years. After an extended illness, Ruth Miller died July 18, 1992, at the Elkader Care Center.

Survivors include a sister-in-law, Mrs. Beatrice Kill, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son, and a brother, Ray.
