Elkader Register, Thur., 20 Aug. 1903. Strawberry Point column.

The death of Mr. Lamparter, aged 78 years, occurred Sunday. His horse fell on him some weeks ago, breaking his arm, but he has not been confined to his bed all the time. Funeral services occurred at the home at 2:00 o'clock Monday afternoon and at the church at 3:00 o'clock, Rev. G. Graf, officiating. He leaves a wife and several children to mourn his death. The remains were laid to rest in the local cemetery. We extend our sympathy to the bereaved family.

The 1870 thru 1900 U.S. census' enumerated Henry Lamparter in Cass & Sperry twps. Calculation of birth year from these records give DOB c1825/1826. He has a gravestone in the Strawberry Point cemetery with dates 12/7/1825 - 8/16/1903
