Peter Nelson, of McGregor, 58 years of age and a well known painter of that city, was run over by a car at Prairie du Chien (Wis.) Friday, receiving injuries which resulted in his death Sunday. He was crossing the track to the ferry and was knocked down by the car which he did not observe approaching. His left leg was severed at the knee and he was injured otherwise.
