John Rose, a former resident of this place, died very suddenly at his home in Elk township Monday night.

News was received Tuesday morning of the sudden death of John Rose, who lives north-west of town. At 11:00 p.m. Monday he seemed in apparent good health and ate a dish of ice cream and at 12:00 had passed away. It is thought apoplexy was the cause.
