Grace Leona Rowell was born July 4, 1902, and died Sunday June 28, 1903. Had she lived till the following Saturday she would have reached the age of one year. She was never very strong and had some difficulty with her breathing. For a number of weeks she had been suffering with the whooping cough. She became suddenly worse last Saturday and continued to grow worse till the end came about noon Sunday. The last moments were filled with suffering, but after the marks of suffering left the face the sweetest of smiles lingered upon her countenance making one think she had been kissed to sleep by angels. This is the first break in the family. A father, mother, four brothers and two sisters survive the little one. The funeral services occurred at the home Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock, Rev. Frank W. Bretnall officiating. Interment was in the Volga City cemetery.
