Elkader Register, Thur., 7 May 1903. Elkport and Vicinity column.

Died- Monday, May 4th, 1903, Katie, daughter of Henry Berns and wife, of Volga township, aged 12 years and 2 months. The bereaved parents have the sympathy of hosts of friends in the death of their beloved daughter. The funeral took place Thursday and was largely attended, Father Minogue officiating.
