Mayer or Meyer, child died 1903

Elkader Argus, Wed., 11 Feb. 1903. Luana column.

Mr. Mayer, living over north in the neighborhood of Bethel, lost a child by scarlet-fever last week.

Mr. and Mrs. Meyer living over north lost another child by scarlet fever. Mrs. M. is also afflicted with the same disease, but is on the way to recovery.

Note: The same paper and column, dated 11 Feb. 1903, notes a child death and gives the surname as what looked like Mayer. This article notes the death of another child of what appears the same family, but gives the surname as Meyer.
