The 1872 Last Will & Testament of James Direen names his wife as Anastasia and children Lawrence Direen, Mary Kelaher, Margaret [?Ivory?], Ellen Direen, Anastasia Direen, Bridget Direen & Kate Direen. Both James and Anastasia 'Anna' are buried in St. Joseph's cemetery, Elkader. Their gravestone has no dates, only their names. James' will was opened & read on 12/3/1872 so presumably he died shortly prior to the reading.
