Elkader Register, Thur., 6 Feb. 1890. Volga Views column.

Again the grim reaper, death, has visited our town and carried away one of our best young men. It is with a feeling of deep regret we chronicle the news of the death of Charles Harvey, which took place at his home on Saturday, February 1st, at 2 o'clock p.m. Deceased was born near Bloomington, Wisconsin, July 2nd, 1867, consequently he was a little over 22 years of age. He resided with his parents at Bloomington until about four years ago when the family moved to this place, and during his residence among us he has gained the highest regard of all for his many traits of character. He leaves his aged parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Harvey, and three brothers and one sister to mourn the loss of a noble son and brother. The funeral took place Monday morning his remains being taken to Bloomington for burial in the cemetery at that place. The bereaved family have the sympathy of all.
