From a special dispatch to the Dubuque Herald, we learn of the death of Mrs. Legrand Olmsted, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. D. M. Wooliscraft, at Spencer, Clay county, on the 17th inst., at the advanced age of 82 years.
Mrs. Olmsted was an aunt of P. P. Olmsted, of Monona, and one of the pioneer residents of Clayton county, having located in Monona township, near Cold Spring, some 30 or 40 years ago, and lived there until about four years ago, when she accompanied her daughter, Mrs. Wooliscraft, to Spencer. Mr. Olmsted died several years ago, and was buried in the Monona cemetery, and on yesterday her remains were laid beside his, to await the final resurrection and eternal peace hereafter.
