It is with sadness that we announce the death of Mrs. A. P. Eno, mother of Wm. Eno, of Wagner, which occurred at the latter's residence on Friday, February 2nd, of paralysis, after reaching the advanced age of 83 years and 5 months. The subject of this sketch was born in Salsbury, Vermont, September 10th, 1799, and resided there until 1804, when with her parents she removed to Canada East. Here she grew to womanhood, and was in 1827, married to Mr. A. P. Eno. In 1855 the family removed to Iowa, locating in Clayton county, and she has resided here since that time, making her home with her children.

She was until recently a vigorous woman, doing all her own work, and could walk a mile as fast as many of the younger people. She leaves six children to mourn the loss of a kind, loving and patient mother. The funeral, which occurred on Sunday, was very largely attended. Rev. E. Ketchum, of Luana, officiated, and delivered a very touching sermon, after which her remains were laid away to their long, sweet rest, in the Wagner cemetery.

Note: burial is in the Eno cemetery, Wagner twp. She shares a gravestone w/husband Almon P. Eno.
