Considerable sickness and a number of deaths have occurred here during the past week....On Thursday of last week the infant son* of Charles Adams died and was buried on Friday.

It is very likely that the newspaper was in error by reporting this infant as a son. Charles Adams' obit states he had a daughter named Harriet, who "came and went within a month". Harriet R. Adams has a gravestone in Hillcrest cemetery with the dates 7/8/1881 - 8/5/1881. Her death was also entered in the Clayton county Register of Deaths, Book 1, page 15
